Future Developments of Hydrogen TE (UK) Ltd Hydrogen Facilities

HTE (UK) Ltd is actively advancing the future of clean energy through the expansion and development of next-generation hydrogen production facilities. Building on its innovative thermochemical recycling technology, the company aims to scale up operations and establish multiple regional plants across the UK.
Expansion of Production Capacity
Hydrogen TE plans to develop larger-scale facilities capable of processing higher volumes of non-recyclable waste streams—including plastics, ASR, and tyres—transforming them into fuel cell grade hydrogen. These facilities will help meet growing demand for low-carbon hydrogen across transport, industry, and energy sectors.
Future facilities may integrate renewable electricity to power parts of the process, enhancing sustainability and enabling partial or full production of Low Carbon Hydrogen, further reducing carbon footprints.
Alongside hydrogen, the process captures carbon dioxide, which can be purified and supplied for commercial use in industries such as food & beverage, agriculture, and manufacturing—turning a waste by-product into economic value add.
To accelerate deployment, Hydrogen TE is developing modular facility designs. This approach allows for flexible implementation in various locations, tailored to local waste streams and hydrogen needs.
The company is pursuing strategic collaborations with local authorities, waste management firms, and industrial stakeholders to co-develop projects and ensure regional waste streams are efficiently converted into clean energy.
Looking beyond the UK, Hydrogen TE is exploring international markets with similar landfill and waste challenges. A licensing model may be introduced to enable rapid adoption of its technology worldwide.
All developments align with the UK’s hydrogen strategy and broader net-zero targets. Hydrogen TE’s facilities are positioned to contribute significantly to reducing reliance on fossil fuels and diverting waste from landfill/incineration.
